Welcome to Senior in Sneakers

Hi, I’m Paul — 72 years young, Australian, newly single, and still chasing the next great adventure.

​

Travel isn’t new to me — it’s been stitched into the fabric of my life for decades.

I’ve lived many years in bustling Hong Kong, trekked through the wild heart of Papua New Guinea, explored the vast beauty of South Africa, and wandered the many faces of Asia.

In the Middle East, I spent long, dusty days on archaeological digs, stood in awe beneath the towering columns of Luxor, and once rattled across the desert on the iconic Marrakesh Express — a ride straight through time and story.

The journey didn't stop there.

I’ve cruised by scooter along the sun-kissed beaches of Turkey and Greece, my kids clutching my waist and laughing (and sometimes squealing) as we chased the horizon.

Those sun-drenched days — salt in the air, endless blue skies, freedom at every turn — are memories that never fade.

And if life has taught me anything, it’s this:

Life is too short not to squeeze every last drop of adventure out of it.

That’s the spirit behind Senior in Sneakers — a space for stories from the road, reflections from a life well-traveled, and a reminder that the desire to explore only grows stronger with time.
